About Carla Rieger

She began her career in with one of the largest teambuilding organizations in the US in the mid 1980′s who were pioneers in the use of creativity and play experiences to build community.

She then went onto become the director of The Artistry of Change (www.artistryofchange.com) in 1991, a Vancouver-based consulting firm working with organizations, companies and individuals to use creativity to access higher performance states. Her academic background includes nine years of a self-directed program combining adult education, theatre, conflict resolution, creative writing, and organizational development.

Additionally, Carla has been an actor, playwright and artistic director of several theatre troupes. She has previously self-published three non-fiction books: The Power of Laughter, Speaking on the Funny Side of the Brain, and The Heart of Presenting, as well as three audio programs on The Artistry of Change, Managing Change with a Sense of Humor, and Captivate Your Audience. Her work as both a speaker and performer has been featured on radio and TV, and she is a regular columnist in several magazines.

During her forty to fifty speaking engagements per year, she addresses groups of up to 4000 people internationally on a variety of topics related to enhanced creativity.

Carla has written dozens of short stories, plays and sketch comedy pieces. In addition she has written and performed in two one-woman shows entitled Dancing Between Worlds and My Cleopatra. The Change Artist is her first full-length novel.
